From Mosquito Flat — at about 3,120 m, one of the highest trailheads in the Sierra — the Little Lakes Valley Trail rises gently past Mack, Marsh, Heart, Box and Long Lakes along Rock Creek.
At the Morgan Pass junction the Gem Lakes spur continues to the lakes. The grades are easy the whole way; the altitude is what you feel.
