Paste the location tag or the caption from a post and we'll work out which spot it is — how far, how much climb, where you park, whether you need a permit, and when the light is any good.

Hashtags are read straight out of the caption. Either field on its own is enough to try.

About this

Matching runs on the location tag, the caption and the hashtags — the same signals an Instagram post carries. Pasting a post link isn’t wired up yet; that needs Graph API credentials, and it will fill in these same fields rather than change how the matching works.

Instagram strips GPS from uploads, so a post places at spot level and never at a point on the trail. Every answer shows what it was based on, and when two places share a name we ask instead of picking.
